What is Stretching Canada?

Stretching Canada is recognized as the Canadian authorities on Active Isolated Stretching (AIS). Under the direction of Paul John Elliott, Stretching Canada teaches AIS across Canada to all manual therapists, physio therapists, athletic trainers, dancers and athletes.

Note that Active Isolated Stretching is fully inclusive meaning that anyone can learn this important technique - children, adults even little-league coaches - anyone interested in physical health, either their own or someone else's; it is not reserved for licensed therapists or trained professionals.

Paul John Elliott is the only person in Canada to-date that is certified by Aaron Mattes, creator of Active Isolated Stretching, to teach AIS. Paul has been teaching 3-day seminars AIS across Canada since 2005. These seminars can be hosted by either a massage therapy association, clinic/sports/health club or by individuals hoping to bring this technique to their therapists, colloeagues and client community.

Word has been spreading about the effectiveness of Active Isolated Stretching - beyond Paul's involvement with the some of Canada's professional, Olympic and elite athletes, AIS has become known to the public due in part to Paul's efforts of writing articles, radio interviews as well as giving lectures and seminars.
